chic hatched and died.
the egg hatched today and the chic had a problem with its stomach. I was a little worried when I noticed skye was out of the box as she has been in there looking after the egg.I took some photos of it that I will probably post tomorrow. It was alive when I found it but died shortly after.

Indie and Mika are sharing a cage that opens up at the top, I was standing in the middle of the front of the cage and mika was saying kisp kisp (kiss kiss) and walking towards me and all of a sudden indie flew at m...

I use the fondue maker, I think they should be around twenty bucks from shops like kmart ect. The fondue maker you put water in the part that heats up and the formula where the choc should go, it stays at the same temp and doesnt go above the temp. Greg if it still seems like the bub isnt eating rig...

Re: Pumpkin to for Skye and Anakin? is pumpkin good for birds?
mine get pumpkin probably once a week, we have roast dinner and I just give them some of the baked pumpkin and when we have mashed potato and pumpkin I cook a little extra for them.
I dont think it matters what type of pumpkin it is.

I just checked the box to see if there was more eggs , there was 3 in there yesterday and today there is only two. I know for a fact there was 3 because i took pics as its hard to see into the box. I looked/felt right through the box and all around the aviary, there is completely no sign whatsoever ...

I - what is the minimum cage size? bar spacing? not sure on the specifics but you need one that your bird cant get its head through the bars and get stuck. I would strongly advise limiting the amount of doors/openings on the cage, they are pretty clever at working out how to escape. - how loud are t...

I have indie in with Mika (alex). I would strongly suggest having a spare cage to seperate them if you need to, some will do fine with a cage mate and others dont do well at all. Hi Maggie and welcome 8) Another bird to consider would be an Alexandrian, they are bigger than a IRN but they are very docile. Irns take a fair amount of patience while taming, unless you manage to get a perfect one straight away. They also go through bluffing which can be quite interesting. While ...

The reson why he runs up is because parrots feel safer on higher places... if u can't relax having a parrot on your hand well then you need to place him in a perch and work from there... just trying to help... It would be hard to relax and drop your guard when you have something biting you. It will...
