chic hatched and died.

the egg hatched today and the chic had a problem with its stomach. I was a little worried when I noticed skye was out of the box as she has been in there looking after the egg.I took some photos of it that I will probably post tomorrow. It was alive when I found it but died shortly after.

boiled water. I fed Mika (alex) the same times I fed spike (Irn) , the only difference was Mika ate more than spike.

I use the fondue maker, I think they should be around twenty bucks from shops like kmart ect. The fondue maker you put water in the part that heats up and the formula where the choc should go, it stays at the same temp and doesnt go above the temp. mine get pumpkin probably once a week, we have roast dinner and I just give them some of the baked pumpkin and when we have mashed potato and pumpkin I cook a little extra for them.
I dont think it matters what type of pumpkin it is.

That night I put vaseline along the rails and behind the nest box, basically anywhere the mice could possibly go to get into the box. I still have the two eggs :D :D

I just checked the box to see if there was more eggs , there was 3 in there yesterday and today there is only two. I know for a fact there was 3 because i took pics as its hard to see into the box. I have never had a harness on any of mine. I would probably keep training him with it inside and see if it just a matter of him getting used to it, I really wouldn't take him out in it until he is good with it.

dogsandparrots you come across as not having much patience with people who don't know as much about training as you.
things like this "well then you need to" could be said a different way IE maybe try putting him on a perch and working without him on you.

Bugger not good. Hopefully kirara will be right with them. It might help to go out to the aviary in the dark and see if she found her way back to roost.

With the fondue warmer just check them out first that it heats to the temp needed. Mine was a life saver and made things so much easier.
