i used to break coconut into small pieces (about 2-3*cm) with the shell, or in big pieces like donna says.
Lazaros eat it so much and plays with the shells but my other birds dont eat it.

ficus produce flowers and fruits but in warmer environments.
In greece ficus dont flower, i think the same in NZ.
Ficus also have its leaves all the year, aspen is not and aspen in spring flowers ( something like dust feathers, white, it seems like snowing around, in greece this is in summer)

no it is not suitable for irns, maybe its ok for rabbits you need at least double in height, and more width , more perches in vertical potition, because now your birds cant jump or fly. this is Populus alba, common name is aspen ( i found the name in dictionary). ( for THE THIRD PIC with the 2 color leaves i am sure, are all pics from the same tree?)

i have seen that many use a disifectant in the water of rinse seeds, so the seeds are safe.
i dont use soak seeds, because it needs enougt time but soak seeds are a very useful food.

i Have irns in cages, a pair per cage 1*0,6*1,8 m.
