Oh boy! Going to be a tough week for the birds. Ive been trying to cool them down with frozen fruits and giving them a soaking every couple of hours. Im trying not to let them fly since they get puffed easy in the heat. So they are stuck in the bathroom, (coolest room in house). I dont have air con ...

Im checking some out today. If I can be bothered going out today. Sooo hot! If I do end up getting one today, might have ...

Birdies will be getting a non avian friend! :D
Ouch, a week of 40 degrees, without air con! Birdies will be locked in the bathroom (coolest room) for a week, Im not taking chances with them, there will be no flying about the house this week. Poor bubs! On another note: Birdies will be getting a friend very soon - non avian. *shh* say no more! he...

You have adorable babies!!! Your daughters going to be a heart breaker. I was too born with a dislocated hip, but was never put in plaster. For that, I still get the occasional noticable 'click' of my hip slightly dislocating, people around me comment, it hurts for a second, but usually I can pop i...

I have had this problem too, as Lola would chew through all the flyscreens. But I rarely had the windows open for her to get out on the otherside. Try and give as much chew toys as possible. If this doesnt work, like my Lola, I was once suggested to spray a 'feather picking spray' on the flyscreens....

Re: Australia
Hi, I'm also Australian. I live in Tasmania in a little town called Flowerpot south of Hobart, the capital city. My home is a waterfront property overlooking Bruny Island. Definately a big NO NO. These may seem harmless at first. But will eventually kill. Would you really want to risk the health of your beloved bird? Birds like alot of what is not good for them.
