every morning i fill my birds seed bowls give them apple (i apple is divided for 3 birds a bowl of frozen vegies and either spinach silverbeet or brocoli (depending what i have) every second day i put a corn cob on a fruit spike in each cage plus they get popcorn once or twice a week none of my bird...

my main thing i do is look in pet shops for ideas the got to the local discount shop for things to use the one thing i seem to find the birds really love is the dog chew toy on a rope

food is a good way to tame especially for little piggy birds like irns

the foods ive found get the best results are air dried popcorn & brocoli

actually in the lounge room the cats totally ignore the birds in the cages
not that im taking any chances if the birds are out of their cages there are at least to shut doors between them

never tried the lorikeet mix on irns but my guys all LOVE!!!!!!!!the egg & buiscut mix most of them will come to me to eat it off the hand rearing spoon!

thats riku relaxed when theres food ! i bought an electrical air popper its great!!!! no oil just put the kernels in ......listen to the fids go nuts coz popcorns coming and serve he is fairly tame but still doesnt like being patted kisses are fine and he loves rearanging your hair but no patts

& the next day stood on my head!!!

ive havent ever clipped my birds wings but my desision was based on other members of my household (cats) rather than if i was cruel i dont think it is cruel at all when done properly
and it can aid in taming your bird quicker
its personal choice

true i had kieron riku &gen jen all in a huge (6footx3footx2foot) indoor cage kieron &jen would not land on us when they were out but would sit on the back of the chair while riku was al over any one (especialy if you have food!!!)

it is easier to form a bond with a single bird than with more
as they are flock bird they tend to bond to each other
