That's right, Stu...

Clipping the wings takes them down a peg or two... The only bird I have clipped is my IRN... The others don't have 'attitudes' anymore BUT - if they get one, their wings get clipped.

If he chews on the cage or metal attachments, he could get zink poisoning, which is deadly to birds. An Avian vet might be able to detect it.

The width and height both 40cm is way to small to house a ringneck, let alone 2 in my opinion. The length is great. Sounds like a flight cage for smaller birds.

So glad that your first day went well... It is hard to be on your feet all day, when you're not used to it... It won't be long.

The birds will quickly adjust to your new routine... They have to do that in the wild due to other birds or migration... It'll only take a few days.

The thing is - birds hide their illnesses so well, that by the time we notice they're ill, it's normally too late.

When I work evening shift - finishing at 11pm - I don't disturb the birds. I do have to walk past them, but if one says something, I go 'shhh'.

Cory, my Corella, is sometimes hard to get back in the cage... I always ensure he gets the best treat possible, in his case a peanut in shell.

When you first get the bird and then once a year. Also if there's a change in behaviour, change in the apperance of the poop, change in feather conditions (not including molting) and anytime you have a feeling your bird might not be well.
