Johan, You are thinking of the blue color seen in green series birds. OK. However in blue series, those colors you've chosen (Bondi, Teal)would be more like an Emerald phenotype rather then sa deep !? It makes sense for green series though. For me the most exciting part is that it allows us to fine tune the phenotype of many mutations, but esp. for what each individual prefers when it comes to a purple looking bird. Some prefer violet(df), some like cobalt violet. Without deep, that is all we can do. With deep, we have many more option...

@Madas, I believe that is a perfect example of what Tienie would call the "patchiness" we see in an edged youngster also carrying cinnamon, i.e. edged cinnamon crossover.

The thing to look out for with the edged mutation in the cocks (SF birds) is the general body colour, which becomes lighter than your normal dark factor birds.
