Re: taming

Helpful, maybe, is to remember that although a Ringneck can provide an honest bite, removing a piece of flesh or leaving a bruise or cut, a big creature like a human won't be much harmed in the long run, providing the most sensitive and dainty areas are not bitten and infection is prevented. You won...

Big seeds (sunflower, safflower), nuts (pecan & almond the fave, hazelnut dislikedl), fruit (apple, pear) always go well here. Peanuts are well liked, as is peanut butter. Bread, for some reason, always gets a win.

Let's talk about moulting. (CLAWNZ, I'm looking at you......) As we know, Sinbad's been here just a week or so short of a year. Since Rocky moved in with Sinbad (still over the moon on that one :D ) he has really enjoyed the use of Sinbad's big bell. He beats that bell, grabs and yanks it, even hangs and swings from it by his beak. He left a smaller bell in his own cage which saw little use. Go figure. Time will tell if this...

I'm not sure I would say a bird who got lice would have necessarily been poorly kept. They would just need to have contact with a bird or an area where the lice were. --Like kids at school bring home head lice, the bird would just have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. If the lice would put...

Your birds are pretty. I am not an expert on Ringneck colours, but I believe that Albino is recessive, and thus the birds need to have all Albino genes for them to display that mutation.
