just thought i would post in the news that peanut is a boy. i was so happy when i found out, that i started to cry. a good cry though. it was like finding out the sex of your child. very emotional. was anybody else this way when they found out, or did i take it more emotionally than others?

Hehe, Peanut has been dancing all the time now. I say "are you goona gance pretty boy?" and his head goes every which way. He likes to take his food one by one and hold them in his mirro, so he can watch himself eat. He also likes to play peek-a-boo in his mirror. I think we bought a weird...

Peanut had started loosing feathers about a week or do ago... When we came back from up north (we were gone a day) Meatball had started to moult as well. Do birds usually moult at the same time? Or do they see the other bird moulting, and think it would be fun to pull out their feathers too? Im conf...

I caught Peanut dancing the other day in his cage. It was soooo funny! His head was going all around in circles and he was prancing back and forth like a magicle pixie horse. It wasn't a slow moving dance, it was fast.. like his head was going to go flying off in the other direction. I had no idea h...

I think you're right about the hormones. I always give him kisses before bed, and last night I put my hand in there to get him, and he bit me HARD. I continued to try to get him, and he was still being all sassy. I closed the cage door and tried again, and this time it worked, but when I went to giv...

Ok, I noticed that Peanut has some small black hairs coming in between his beak and his eyes. They keep getting a little darker every week. Does this mean Peanut could be a boy, or do all IRN's get this dark coloring there?

Does anybody know how often IRN's molt? Since we've had him he hasn't moulted. He's been rubbing his beak on EVERYTHING and lets me rub it for him too, which he never did before-which is really cute! I also have a few more questions.... When I decide to go get a beak trim on my IRN, will it hurt him...

When we got our IRN a month ago it was grey and turquise-green. Now it is changing to grey/green. How is this happening if our bird isn't growing any new feathers? I've tried giving him lettuce and tomatoes, but he doesn't touch them. I was just wondering whats good for your IRN and whats BAD!...
