Hi, congrats on your eggs! :D Fingers crossed you get bubbies. I guess it depends on the time the eggs are laid and when you saw them. Hi and welcome to the forum. :) My birds are quiet when I am near or playing with them. Sometimes they will make 'coo' noises when I pet them but mostly quiet. Once a bird has developed the ring fully, it is hard to guess an age. So anywhere from 3 yrs +...sorry can't be more precise.

If Puli is developing a ring, he would be between 2-3 years of age, possibly around 2.5yrs old.

Hi,

Are your ringies tame or aviary birds?

Do you still keep budgies and tiels?

Welcome to the site. :)

Re: Polly and I

Hi Polly.

Ringies are very motivated by food. You could try eating in front of him. Curiosity gets the better of them and they just have to see what is so tasty.

Let him work at his own pace though, if you rush it could undo any progress.
Good luck!

It depends on how long your bird will be spending in the cage for.
Should be ok, better if a larger cage could be found though. :)

Depends on the level of training, (if any), you intend to do before selling. Once a bird is fully weaned you can sell.
I personally have my babies, 'stepping up' and some fly to me on command when called.
Most of the time when babies are weaned they already know how to step up anyway. :)

It is hard to find a suitable name when you don't know the gender of the bird. I usually try to choose a name to suit the personality of the bird. If there is a chance that the bird can escape from a left opened door, than I would play safe and have the wings clipped. This means that you would need to keep an eye on your bird so no harm comes to him from accidentally being stepped on etc. Also if he wanders outside from an open door, could be ...

I have never kept more than one pair per aviary, so not too sure. But during breeding season, some pairs do have a bit of aggression towards neighbouring pairs in other aviaries.
