Re: What to Feed your Parrot (recipes, toxicities, links too!)

I was having a look though the list again and I was wondering if anyone could recommend ways on serving artichoke and radish? My babies are quite picky so I'm trying to work out more ways to serve their food. Also, how often can I give my IRNs fennel? They enjoy a nibble every so often but I've been...

Hello, I don't know if anyone has asked this already but how would you prepare okra and brussel sprouts for IRNs? Cooked or raw? I'm thinking about testing out some different veggies to see if my guy and gal take to them.

Re: Diet and health help?

The eggs I'm finding are all over the aviary floor so I don't know if she's just letting them drop wherever or laying in a certain place then tossing them, as I haven't actually witnessed her lay any of them. All I know is they're all broken (I'm guessing after dropping from a decent height) and she...

Diet and health help?

Hello, I posted here a while ago and I was advised to prevent my two IRNs from breeding until I was properly prepared for babies. Despite boarding up the nesting box they have been mating regardless and the female has been laying what I think are soft-shelled eggs. Anyways, I've tried upping their c...

Re: Removing babies from aviary

Hmm, I never thought of that. The nesting box is sort of attached to the aviary but I might be able to remove it. But in case I can't, could I just block off the entrance instead?

Re: Removing babies from aviary

I don't think I'd be able to build and extra chamber given the location of the aviary. Door to the house on the right, narrow walkway and my dad's plants on the left which I don't think he would be willing to dig up (I'll try and get some photos soon to give you a better idea of what I mean) "p...

Removing babies from aviary

Hello, I have some questions regarding baby Indian ringnecks My female ringneck (Pumpkin) has started showing interest in breeding a little earlier than expected this year, so things are happening a little quicker than I had hoped. What I want to know is when should I remove baby birds from the nest...
