There are things you can do to make parts of the cage more enticing. I have a coop cup that attaches to the side of the cage. I fill it with foot toys (chunks of wood, etc.) and put it near the bottom of the cage. Most days they will go down there and pull them out. Sometimes they'll chew them up, ...

Why do you think it's too big? Unless your bird is disabled or sick, I don't think you can get a cage too big for a bird considering the amount of space they use in the wild. Ellie. #1 Get Skylar DNA tested so you actually *do* know. One bird like peanuts and almonds for training and foraging which I get out of a treat bag. It also has these dehydrated gummy things he likes too. As for my newer bird i've managed to teach him to like the things in that bag that the first bird won't touch. Every bird's absolute favorite is unique...

I'm sure very single bird makes noises when they look in the mirror. It is normal for a bird to do this so don't worry. About the gender just look around its neck if it has a light ring it is a female and if,it has a black ring it is a male.

At this age they should start to eat a couple of seeds. But they should still be on formula. Pet stores are not reliable places to buy your birds from.they are often sick or have a disease. Go to your vet for a health check up and try changing the formula

Help

I have a fully tame Indian ringneck however he is scared to eat treats from your hand and he is also extremely quiet. We've had him for a week now and it is impossible for me to train him if he doesn't take treats from my hand. He also prefers sitting in his cage all day than flying around the room.

This is a very debatable question due to the fact that so many people have different opinions.
