Re: How to tell if my IRN is content

So sad that someone kept bouncing what seems to have been a once very loved and socialized pet. So glad that you gave her a good home where she can live happily and with room to move and toys to destroy. Just my two cents worth: tea is actually good for all different kinds of reasons and there are L...

Re: Frozen veggies and fruit

You are quite welcome a lot of people will chop up the fresh food in a food processor for their chop so that the birds can't just pick out what they like but get all kinds of nutritious foods, a lot less waste that way also. Don't be afraid to sprinkle some millet or something on top of it to get th...

Re: Need help advice

Forgive me if you stated this and I have missed it, but where are the birds located? Are they where they can see you all the time? If they are, as long as you eat on a halfway normal schedule I have noticed that our birds usually eat when we eat. So if you wanted to give them their meals right befor...

Re: Frozen veggies and fruit

Fresh is always preferred but frozen does come in handy at times when time is short or when certain things are not in season. It won't hurt them in anyway. For frozen fruit make sure it's natural and no sugar stuff added to it. There are tons of recipes out there for "chop" that you make a...

Re: Dimorphic Birds

parrotlets are able to visually gender, they are known as the pocket parrots being the smallest parrot with attitudes like amazons. The can also talk but are quiet. ---------------I had delete part of the subject title to be able to respond (some of the rules on this forum for newbies is VERY frustr...

Yepm mine do it all the time. It is for exercise, baby birds will do the same to strengthen their wings before taking that first flight, completely normal.

mutation question

I have a 4-5 week old IRN that I am handfeeding, I was told that the Mother is a lutino and the Father was a blue. The person I got the IRN from said that as my baby feathers and molts it could end up with a blue hue to it or shadings of blue, is this true and is it possible to tell the gender witho...

Re: I drew his birdiness!

Would LOVE to see more or even a Nila cartoon strip would be neat. VERY NICE drawings, and very nice subject ...
