I wasnt tryiing to say we had anything terribly exotic but just wondering what we might get. the...

Our New birds

Heres a photo of our new birds we bought on saturday.... We actually bought more than this but some were for other family members so that was cool. Sorry the pictures arent better but I just took these through the wire so as not to disturb them too much and they were at the back of the avairy. When ...

Thanks for your replys. The washed out colour is perhaps due to my photos as he is probably a bit brighter than that really.

Jeremy, do you thinkhe is split blue or split pastel blue? He is about 9 months old.

Thanks,

here is a picture of my "lime" coloured bird. Do you think it is cinnamon as that is what i have been guessing it is. The breeder wasn't sure himself and he breeds lots of beautiful colours like lacewings etc. Got it really cheap because he wasnt sure what it was. It hasnt been sexed but I am pretty...

I just noticed in my picture all the ringnecks in the background. It looks like the avairy is overflowing, but its not! Also not helped by the fact that the two alexs decided to eat the same piece of corn stuck up high near the roof, it wasn't put there for a perch!!

Bonjorum,
Your buddy has a beautiful bird but what I couldn't understand in the pictures you posted is why he has it in with a normal green male? Is it a hen or a young male? It would be a shame to breed it with a green.

sorry but definately not a lacewing , in fact it can be quite a misleading description really as they don't really have a "laced-wing" appearance. However I think that even the normal greens are really beautiful as they have more variety in their colours than most of the others as you can see by the...
