How is your bird? If he is not improving, you should consider taking him to an avian vet as well as the spray you are using. If the bird has lice, I have my doubts as to how well he was being looked after. Not necessarily by you, but whomever had him before you. There may be other issues as well.

Hi...you seem to be trying to improve your bird's condition and I applaud you for your efforts. A bigger cage is always better, but I am glad you removed your bird from the round brass cage. It sounds like everything is going well! I think whether or not a mirror is provided depends on how the bird reacts to it. In your bird's case, and the fact she is female and you don't want her to lay eggs. I agree with NOT providing a mirror especially since it sounds like she becomes possessive of it. You do not want to encourage any beh...

Yes, so it needs to see an avian vet especially since you do not know what is wrong or how to care for it. With the hen being sick, what chance do you think the babies will have if they hatch? Please take it to a vet!...and then provide an update. Good luck!

My IRN seems to enjoy 'boxing' with his toys - he hits them with his beak. I have read that even if it is aggression, it is a good way for them to get rid of the pent up energy.
