I LOVE Rosellas! I've never met a tame one though. I think it's a natural aggressive thing. Many animals will nip at the tail and feet when meeting another they do not like.

Ironically, when Narcissist was a baby, his parents took him to Apollos temple and asked how long he'd live. They were told he would live as long as he never knew himself. By knowing Echo, he learned who he was, thus he did not live very long after (I forget how he dies).

I clicker train Fiona. So far she is doing great with target training . She will go in her cage when told to and plays ball(we roll the ball back and forth). Has anyone done any extensive training or clicker training with their ringneck?

ya Fiona does that sometimes. What I think is really funny is when she is in her cage, she'll put her head between her legs and kind of flip around but still hold on with her legs (does that make sense). It's hard to explain and it's really wierd. Doesn't look comfortable, but she likes it :roll:

eggs are high in fat. The shell is a good source of calcium. I know for nesting females, it is very very good. Being high in fat i wouldn't feed them too often, but maybe once a month?
P.S. Mine really likes tearing apart hard boiled eggs shell and all.

even when their wings are clipped, they can get a foot or two off the ground. That is normal. He should glide to the ground. Does he do it a lot? Fiona was flighted for awhile so she really built up her flight muscles so she gets a little higher, but once she learned she couldn't fly anymore she did...

fiona has a water bottle, but before she dunked and she puts her balls and toys in her food bowls. She also has a "roll 'a' nest" on her play stand that has toys and stuff and she'll drop stuff in there.

my fiona LOVES to chew! She will chew up huge blocks of wood for macaws. That being said, her bars on her cage are not super strong. Could she break them? Probably, but she hasn't tried so far. Just be patient. Fiona is scared of fingers too (unless they belong to my boyfriend). I have her step-up on my arm. She didn't seem as afraid of the arm as fingers. Also, bites hurt a lot less on the arm.

You can feed veggies raw (rinse first)
Is her main diet seed?

Nolvasan is what vets use (anti-bacterial). You can find it online sometimes. It is safer than bleach. That being said, I've used bleach even for aquatic turtles to clean their ornaments and have never had a problem.
