Re: Adopted an Alexandrine- Feather Issues & Behaviour Quest

She picked up a peanut by herself and started chewing away on the shell this morning. It made me so happy

Re: Adopted an Alexandrine- Feather Issues & Behaviour Quest

Yep she is in quarantine right now, but the bloods were only taken very recently so I don't know what my vet could tell me that theirs didn't, There are no avian vets in my area either. That's why I posted here in the hope someone may have come across this and have some sort of answer for me.

Re: Adopted an Alexandrine- Feather Issues & Behaviour Quest

I forgot to add, I have switched her to the African Vetafarm pellets that we have for our Ringnecks on the advice of our vet.

I don't know if I should have switched her over so soon, or weaned her onto them but she is eating them eagerly

Hi Everyone, This could be a really long post so thanks for reading in advance. I just acquired a 5yr old Female Alexandrine this weekend unseen. Re: Very Quiet Baby-Normal???

Iv got 2 14-16ish week old babies and neither of them make much noise either.

Peppermint will make the occasional screech and the funniest growling noise I have ever heard
Sprite is more of a sweet talker and when the house is quiet will come out with really cute sweet noises
