blue shadows in Coukou's feathers

Since 2 months Coucou's feathers at the head has some blue colored spots that appeared suddenly. We must took into account that Coukou's main social interaction is Boulis which is a blue colored male indian ringneck who is untamed.

my nephews who are 8 and 4,5 years old inherited Coucou with all or almost all of their used toys and astonishingly Coucou is playing more with their forgotten toys than my nephews did when these toys were new to their hands but they become quickly so tiresome for them too..

It doesn't swallow the plastic as I noticed, it does only bitting and tearing the plastic leaves. But maybe is better to replace them with natural ones because plastic is not a common material in their wild environment.

Well, according to the vet, Coucou is in very good health judging by the color of its eyes & foot. Also, the fall of tail is a result of the traveling cage which doesn't fit to the dimensions of the bird and needs replacement. Is it good to cover the cage so as the bird to sleep easier or is afraid of the cover? The room is big while at the other side is the TV always open at night until late and light surely is passing the cage...
