Re: Introducing Flash and Crash
Flash and Crash went to the vet the other day. They had a couple of blood tests, but other than 1 result we're still waiting for, they both got clean bills of health. Crash had his second wing trimmed to match his first so he's no longer lopsided. Up until today Flash has mostly been on a seperate p...

Flash and Crash enjoying a shower
I made Flash and Crash a free-standing shower perch since our shower is mosaic and the usual suction cup style showers don't work. I made a video of them trying it out for the first time. Crash has always loved showers but Flash was a bit iffy about them until today. http://i.imgur.com/PC2stHW.jpg Y...

We went to buy a second cage today since Crash doesn't want to share with Flash at all. I suspect it's more territorial than personal because Crash doesn't like me touching anything of 'his' either. Crash had his first shower in the actual shower today. I held him on a perch so he could move out of the water if he wanted, and he scooted into it instead. He was all "scritches please" and making happy sounds, and holding his wings out. But, he doesn't get wet. The water just beads and r...

One thing you can do to find out what he likes best is to put a bunch of stuff in a bowl and see which he eats first. Then the next day offer it again but without the thing he ate first last time. Do that a few times and you get a hierarchy of his favourite things.

Well, I originally googled for wicker balls, just that was a nice easy-to-follow tutorial. People talk about making them from wicker, rattan and just twigs.
