The tumour has grown to the size of a BlackBerry and has white veins on it. Tomorrow Monday l will phone the Avian vet to make an appointment to have her wing amputated, she is off her food and rather lethargic. But there has been no bleeding. :)

Big problem coming if her lump in the wing starts to bleed the Vet will will remove the wing. If the cost is more than l can pay l ask the vet to put her down but there is the pain she will suffer to take into consideration. On YouTube are picture of birds flying with one wing.

Heard today Vet says Billie has cancer in her wing, rescued her in 2013 and was her third owner, two prolapses but many years of happy memories now l have to make a weekly report to the vet, if the cancer gets worse he might amputate her wing or l might have her put down if she is in pain hard choic...

I think wing clipping is cruel so why did you do it, perhaps you cut to close t a nerve and it is shock time will heal just be patient.

It could be hormones the sudden onset would be very unsettling soon maybe next year she will lay eggs the first one or two she might eat be careful about the diet no carbs, no sugar, no starch check out the IRN pages for more details,

My Alexandrine's nails were not clipped for over 5 years but recently l took her to chipped and the vet said her nails were fine. Are you using sanded perches?

I was told by a vet it can take 9 months for a bird to accept pellets, l give a mix of sprouting seeds, Kaytee Exact and parrot mix of seeds and other, my bird picks out what she wants, but the sprouting seeds go first.

I turn all my remotes over face down to stop her chewing the buttons her favourite one is red. I am afraid I cannot help you, but have you thought of changing the diet? Try millet only for a couple of weeks. Make sure he gets 12 to 14 hours totally dark sleep.

Just a point about poops, if they are on pellets it should be a brownish colour and white centre but if on seeds dark green and both should be moist. The first poop of the day is the biggest but during the day there will be several smaller poops. It is good you are helping each other.

Your bird has to learn to trust you, read more on our site and you will find the answers, sit by his cage when you eat your meals, I would not clip his wings l think it makes them more aggressive. Let us know how you get on with Cedric.
