At the start of this post you show a pallid with brown flights.
Here is a picture of a bird I breed a few years ago and this is him (long gone) and his mother looked the same as that hen.
The breeder told me at the time she was a Turq pallid. Is there many Brown flighted IRN's out there?

Has anyone got a theory on why some Dominant pieds have no colour in there tail at fleding and others like some of the so called saddlebacks have.
My green Dominant pied 2012 cock only got a light blue in tail feather at rising two molt .

I just took a picture with a UV light from bunnings of my 2013 green dom pieds and an unrelated Violet blue dom pied. The two greens look different to me (look at the necks )

Here is a UV photo of this nest, the DF turquoise is much richer than in single factor turquoise as shown in the next pictures of single factor Violet turquoise and DF violet sf turquoise pair last year under UV.

All lines lead back to the green for the saddle .The modifying genes make the saddle ,eg: Turquoise first .Than the Rec Dilute and the edged Rec or sex linked. these birds may not be true pied or are pieds a combination of the rest.
