Sushi & Boombox (siblings) are starting to talk at 7 mos.
Hi everyone. I am so excited to share that my babies have now started talking. We have very clear cat calls, and I think Boombox is talking a lot more than sushi, but It's always when you're not directly in the room with them but around the corner, so I'm not sure who is doing the talking all of the...

Re: opinion on cages
I am having the same issue. Ready to purchase a new larger cage for one of my ringnecks who is no longer a baby : ) I have the savings now and I am ready but I can't decide on the best cage. I'm curious what cages other people use and really like? Space not an issue. Just want it to be best for him....

Stuffed Animal toy
Do any of your birds / IRN's have a stuffed toy that they like to play with (like a typical child's stuffed animal)? If yes, how do they play with it? Just curious

Re: does ur irn have a bedtime?
I love this thread! My Jenday goes to sleep when the kids do.. usually around 9 PM, wake at 7AM with the family (his cage is covered at night) and his cage is in the living room. My baby IRN's are on the same schedule and are in their own room for now. As my husband says "birds should sleep whe...

Re: Soon to be IRN owner
Jen, Hi and welcome!! I'm also a Jen. lol. I wanted to say hello and just say that I agree with MissK. I think everyone wants a pretty yellow or blue or whatever color ringneck. I have been wanting a bird for quite a while myself. I used to own birds before I was married and had kids. Now my babies ...

I have two new baby ringnecks, 7 weeks old. I haven't named them yet. I also have a Jenday Conure named Petey. I'm...

Re: Coloring a Ringneck please
I really do not understand any of the mutation split / pied, etc. verbiage. Is there a breeding for dummies site or something which explains this to a novice? I'm mostly just curious. Not planning on breeding or anything. Thanks much I love this site.

Re: My new babies are not banded
Thank you for your reply. If I understand correctly, you are suggesting that I band them myself with some unique ID code that makes sense to me and just document it for my own records, correct?

My new babies are not banded
Hello, I have a question about banding. I acquired two beautiful baby IRN's from a local pet owner (not a breeder) who's birds had their first clutch. The babies are 7 weeks old. They don't have a leg band and I'm wondering if I should care or not. I think they are too old to band now and they didnt...
