Way to tell chick colors as chicks?
Dad is blue, mom is grey, and there are only 2 babies. Is there a way to tell the colors apart at around 2 weeks old? I will probably buy them both but wanted to know if there was a way to tell them apart incase I didnt. I want a blue one pretty bad. If I only buy 1 of the 2 I will get a lutino from...

Re: My Awesome cage
I really love these cages. The birds have wing room and can fly in there unlike the kind that are more vertical. They just have so much more room in there. I may buy another one, or one like it soon. I'm going to get one of those bendable perches next week.

Re: My Awesome cage
They have lots of foot toys in there. Some cat balls, lolipop sticks and some little bagels. Ive been trying to find perches but havent had any luck finding any that fit that cage right, I guess I will have to order some. I used to have and breed pet rats(before an allergy to them got really bad) an...

They all ignore everything in there....sigh. The conures do all cram into the cube to sleep at night but thats about the only thing they really use. He's still being treated as an unweaned baby. He's not eating or drinking like he should be on his own. Last week he was eating a good amount of pellets. Now he just wants baby food.

Well its not club foot and it can't be fixed. He has nerve damage causing the toes on that foot to be weak. I'm hoping that over time the toes will become stronger. Funky Foot???
Ive recently started to notice that my ringneck baby uses his left foot very weird. First I started to notice that he would not grip my finger with it, or the side of his baby cage. I thought he was just not used to perching yet. He is a very awkward bird motion wise compared to my zippy conures. So...

Male Vs Female Behavior?

A lot say that females are more temperamental and aggressive but a few say they are more cuddley and bond better with their people. Then mo...

Can someone give me the run down on ringneck genetics?
I cannot find anything in good detail. Everything I find is chunky and incomplete and pretty wishy washy or very old info. Id like to learn more about them, as much as I can. Ive learned green cheek pretty easily but not so much on the ringnecks due to the lack of complete information on it all. Id ...

Ive never clipped any of my birds wings. Ive even tamed a wild love bird with unclipped wings. I just bought a baby from a breeder too. At first he hid a lot and tried to hide under his blanket in his little box(mine is younger) and was very nervous. I was looking at youtube videos of ringnecks talking and almost every single one had ringnecks with other kinds of birds.
