Oh okay! Thanks for that, she's definitely female so she must be albino

Re: COLOURATION QUESTION! White, Albino or Palladino?
Yes i think it's an albino, a bit surprised at the mother having same eyes, sometimes an albino's eyes inside the house may look dark or blue etc but when taken in full sun the red eyes can be noticed. your pic cut smaller: http://parakeet.me/irn/f/india.jpg your pic auto adjusted lighting http://p...

Re: COLOURATION QUESTION! White, Albino or Palladino?
Take a pic with flash, if it still not showing red eyes then it can be something else. Do you know if the mother has red eyes? She definitely has a redness to her eyes when used with flash. Her mother's eyes are exactly the same, that pale blue. :) Your money's definitely on her being an albino?

Re: Introducing new birds
Hi Lola! :D I was in the same situation as you at one point! I have an IRN (India) and a Long-Billed Corella (Angus), so it was the same kind of dynamic for my birds. I got my Long-Bill after having my IRN for about 4 months, and at first she was extremely quiet, much more reclusive and not really h...

Re: My irn's are scared...
Hi Bloom! I have hand reared many birds in the past and I can assure you that patience is more important than anything, so always stay patient and calm towards your birds. To better answer you question, can I ask you a few questions? - What size cage do they have? Or are they aviary birds? - How old...

Re: New Addition to the Family__ need help with a name
Hi David! She definitely has lied to you, a 3 month old IRN would not even have any signs of a ring! Oh well, as long as he is a healthy and happy, good-natured bird then you've made the right choice :D As for names, you could name according to colour, gender, characters/celebrities you like, or gen...

why the blue tinge is seen in some Albino birds is still not certain, more investigation needs to done, work in progress.
Thankyou! I was thrown off because she doesn't have red in her eyes at all, only the pale blue!

Re: COLOURATION QUESTION! White, Albino or Palladino?
It sounds like you're describing an Albino, possibly masking violet, however it can also be Pallidino, to see if it is pallidino look at her head if it is pure white as a pallid would have (no blue tinge) then it can be pallidino. You can always ask the breeder her parentage, it's easier to figure ...

COLOURATION QUESTION! White, Albino or Palladino?
Hi there! I have a hand tamed IRN, named India, that I've had for 4 months now. She is an amazing, well-behaved and highly intelligent bird, and I absolutely adore her! She's been DNA'd a female, and she's around 6 months old now. My question is, what exactly do I call her coloration?! She is comple...
