They are simply marvels Sir Lee. I was looking at the snaps of their mother again she seems to have a golden overall shine specially on the head. I can only imagine the shine on this grey dhani will look like when he is adult :) Looking forward to more snaps on a sunny day :)

The parblue equivalent are the PF pastel face and CF cream face which are allel of the WF white face (blue mutation is called WF in cockatiels) ; however the DYC inherits co-dominantly towards the normal grey which is the wild type.

Visual difference b/w ringneck mutations

I would like to ask the experts about how to visually differentiate between DD green (also called olive) and grey(sf or df) green mutations of rose ringed parakeet.

Appreciate if you can explain with the help of pictures or both male female in these mutations. Thanks

Hi; I recently bought a female ring neck to add to my aviary. I know for sure that the bird has turquoise in it but can you please tell what exactly is this mutation color or colors. hey , finally a good news , my lutino hen laid two eggs during last few days... so one experience to share from my birds is that the hen will take around 2 to 3 months preparing the nestbox and spending time bonding with the male bird before finally laying eggs
