how long have those eggs been incubated? they look infertile. 1-2 days. I didn't know how long to wait. I had a lady tell me that you could tell after 48 hours. From the other photos none seem to have red eyes.The red eye is mostly visible when they are young and then they darken a little when they get older.This means that all 5 young will be dark colored(green or blue in your case) Red eyed could mean (lacewings,cinnamon,ino and blueino).So none of yours...

21 days are fine. This will give mom a chance to recoup. I think the problem you face is the age gap of the five. You should check whether the remaining eggs are fertile by candling them. I normally leave them even if infertile, as I believe they help keep the chicks warm if/when the hen leaves the nest. The Green Pallid is a very common bird now days. If she was a Clear Head Clear Tail bird she wouldnt have a clear head as only the Males get the clear head in this mutation. Also the Clear Head Clear Tail mutations maintains the depth of colour of the Normal bird and isnt lighter like in your bird....

Observe the birds closely. Is the hen chasing the cock into the box? Is the cock not surgically sexed if not sex it ASAP. The male went in for a week or 2 first. Now for almost a week she has been in and out too, but no eggs. We have left them alone and this is the first time we have checked the nest box so it's not that they haven't been left alone. When might she lay eggs? thank you! :?:

Ringneck hens that have been on their own for some time can be aggressive to males. Some are killers. You must introduce the pair gradually and observe their responses. blue is only a single factor gene and if the bird is visually blue it is carrying the blue gene and showing it so it cannot be split to blue only a different color bird can be split to blue as for a breeding mate any color bird will do my suggestion would be a violet blue one with that combination ...

Blue bird with 1 dark factor. Alot of these mutations are very minor differences and are hard to distinguish between one and another to the untrained eye and even to the trained eye. For instance a Cobalt Violet and a Double Factor Violet may appear to be the same but it is in how they were created...

Cleartail is a mutation and to breed them you need to have birds that have the Cleartail mutation. Some Dominant mutations have what they call factors. Not an admin, but you have to post it on something else like photo bucket then put either the link in, or the link that says for Forums. :) I have had the same problem. Good lucK! :)

Our Jack Russell is OBSESSED with her blue ball. Our new IRN has learned this and has learned to say "Ball! Ball! Where is it?!?" Our dog is going nuts. bird with a runny nose?!?

I have a IRN with one nostril that seems to be permeantly runny? Little snot bubble to. Trip to vet? Something to get at pet store? Only had it a week.

I am not sure the colours of the babies as yet as they have not got any feathers. With the colour of the beak but it seems the Violets and the darker coloured birds have the black bottom beak and the lighter birds like the Inos have it all the same colour, top and bottom.
