Hi sunny lutino,
No it is not good to bath a IRN that young. It could get chilled. I would just use warm water and soft cloth to clean it up. You can gentily rub the feathers if need be to get every thing off. Then dry him/her well and keep warm till fully dry.

Re: What happens after 4 years??
Hi little_lena I’m sorry but I would not get any thing other then supplies from this pet shop. The person telling you these things obviously dose not know what he is talking about. Granted every parrot is different but if you take good care of your little one and give him/her lots of love, attention...

Re: My ringneck strikes when i put my fingers close help ple
Hi Kiwi.k He will probably take he’s first flight soon.Whatch him so he does not hurt himself. As for the striking out at you that sounds like bluffing. What ever you do do not pull your hand away when he does this or this could encourage him to continue and possibly get worse. He is getting in to w...

Re: How long is the adjustment.
Hi Ariahna Sound like he is just a bit stressed out with all the new things going on. ( move, cage, toys ext.) It may take him a week or so to get better adjusted. I normally sit right next to the cage unless they are really freaking out. An talk softy to him. Tell him every thing is ok and he’s saf...

Re: Why did he die ?
Hi Ilona Sorry to here about your little guy. My heart goes out to you. No one can say for sure why he died with out a necropsy.( Which is an autopsy on animals). That is the only way to know for sure what happened. I had a white face albino cockatiel that passed a few years ago. She seemed perfectl...

Re: extremely sick ringneck!! need urgent help!! =(
I would get her to a vet. Birds hide illness very well if she feels like she has lost weight then this can be urgent. Many things could be the cause. Don't take chanses. Don't use olive oil. could be some thing like Internal Parasites. Has she had a change in diet lately? Does she have foam type toy...

Re: new IRN and need much help
I can't beleave that this pet shop didn't give you any more info then that. =( First I would not put him/her in a cage till it is fully featherd an feathers are open. (so he/she does not brake a pin feather.) Then keep the perches low so it dosn't hurt it self. You could probably start introducing n...

Re: Hey new to the site just need some tips
You definitely need to get a feeding formula. You can get at any pet shop ( Petsmart, Petco, Pet supplies plus.. ext. It should be by the parrot food.) Or you can get color free pelets an put them in a blender to make a fine powder an use that with worm water mix to a consistency a bit thinner then ...

Re: my spoiled IRN
Hello and congrats on your new baby. It is a good idea to get him use to having his toes an wings played with, but don't be surprised if he still gets upset when you do clip them lol. My IRN holds a grudge aginst me for about a week when I do his lol. But they do get over it :D Just remember ever pa...

Re: Hello i'm new ... please help
I would definitely get her to an avian vet. Nutritional deficiency's and parasites can be a cause, also boredom. If all comes out healthy from the vet then I would suggest getting her started on foraging, preening, and puzzle toys to keep her active. These birds are very intelligent right up there w...
