I always go by the weather when putting nest boxes up my usual month for putting them up is about mid Feb to early March as English weather can be unpredictable

You should never leave the nest box in all year just put it in about 1month before breeding season which is about Feb to June in England also a 1 1/2 year old male is not always fertile until about 2 years old

Have you checked the eggs yourself to find out if there fertile if they are they will still sit on the eggs until they hatch if they are infertile take the eggs away and she will lay again after about 12 days

Pair of ringneck can mate up to ten times before even going in the nest box and then she might not lay straight away and if you keep checking the box every day it will put her off ,you will no when she has layed because she will stop inside the box and the cock will be feeding her

If your going to put them in avairys make sure when it comes to breeding season you only put one pair in as the hens will end up fighting as they get very territorial

Another possibility would b if you paired the violet cock to either a cleartail or buttercup torquise cobalt or torquise hen producing torquise,cobalt,torquise cobalt ,violet,violet cobalt or violet torquise all split or full cleartail or buttercup

the irn might be alright kept together until about december after that they will be looking to mate and could start fighting each other especially the hens and when they have chicks each pair will defend them rigorously even trying to kill them so unless you are going to divide your avairy to 1 pair...

now the chicks are older two of them are torquise blue lacewings because they have yellow heads the others all have black eyes and are torquise blue x2 and blue i think the ones with red eyes must be ino birds
