Sorry I think I have been misunderstood that the term saddle back cannot be approached as the saddle only appears in the turquoise birds and in no other birds my question was is there been any other breeder that has bred the saddleback without the turquoise in the bird ? Hi All I would hate to bust the bubble a bit but I think a singular test in inconclusive, that cannot rule out that there is a spike in deficiency that would result in the progressiveness of pied or a saddle, in my opinion one of two options at hand either the bird would mould out and is a progressi...

My suspicion is that it is d df violet any thoughts? However any thoughts on the pairing? My idea is that four mutations in one bird would result in a ray of possibilities especially with the emerald harlequin pairing but would that be advisable?

Hi
On second thoughts that is a hen so defiantly opaline, but the twist probably lies in a combination of both I think opaline and dominant edge, opaline dominant edge dominant pied (spangle) I think?
