Hi Un-Doubtfully testing must be the utmost priority, however reasoning that it is a progressive pied should not be dealt with until the test are clear in the instance that it is a progressive pied you should think very carefully what your next step would be as my experience with them usually run in...

Agreed that this is a joke with regard to the species that been put on the list and a lot of time and money can be spent on serious issues like rhino poaching as they are on the brink of EXTINCTRION but as a matter of urgency has anybody received any feedback for the minister ?

My suspicion is that it is d df violet any thoughts? However any thoughts on the pairing? My idea is that four mutations in one bird would result in a ray of possibilities especially with the emerald harlequin pairing but would that be advisable?

I think this bird is a D df violet not a DD however in 2012 i paired it to its sister i have bred a dd violet somthing but the bird died any thoughts of the pairing if its a D DF violet to emerald Dominant pied ? does anybody in sa have a dd df violet cock for sale ?

I have noticed that dom pied is referred to spangle??

On second thoughts that is a hen so defiantly opaline, but the twist probably lies in a combination of both I think opaline and dominant edge, opaline dominant edge dominant pied (spangle) I think?

I agree the intensity in the green series shows so much of pied and the pallid. The emerald dominant pied also shows a lot of intensity and is very distinctive, I do not have the pied in the salan series i.e. pallid therefore I cannot comment (but working on them)

Looks a lot like a dilute pied however the tail feathers carry a distinctive edge marking it could also be a dilute dominant edge that’s what would give it its cin look
