I thought that would be the case.

I have a pair set up which I believe are both df violetbluecobalts, one I breed and another I bought as a violetcobalt but it is too dark and rich in colour for a df violetblue.

Time will tell, both very compatible and currently working the box.

Yes thats what it appears to be, buttttttttttttttt only one of the parents is carrying the single dark factor, so Mauve??????

I think Madas will sort it out.

There is another mutation in the mix, have a good look at the photo again.

You will get violet pieds in Aus for around $2000 - $2500 depending upon amount of pied, quality.

Blue pieds for $1200 - $1500, again quality of piedness will determine price.

Sounds like the Indigo mutation, this is typical with this mutation. The cream colouring comes through as they get older.
