Pohi learning to talk
Here is a video of him talking in the shower this morning. He is almost a year old now, and has only been mumbling words for about a month. The first wird we heard was a sudden and very clear, "BEEPY BIRD" while my boyfriend and i were cuddling with him and watching TV. Since then, I am as...

Turquoise Gray
I am wondering if the greenish feathers on turquoise gray (pastel gray) have any chance of taking time to show. I purchased Pohi 4 months ago, and is 8-9 months old now. He was sold to me as a gray split ino. I do not remember the exact combination (mother or father), but the breeder said that one o...

Re: toys
I went to CAbirdnerds.com and bought a bunch of different kinds of toy parts from plastic, leather, and wood in all different shapes and colors just so I can really see what my new guy likes best. I have only owned ringnecks for ... three days now... lol but all the birds I have owned in the past ha...

Re: My new baby
I called today, and he told me Blue Turquoise... which would not make sense at all...I don't think. He may have been mixing up the clutches as he had quite a few babies at once including some other turquoise and lacewings and was busy when I called. Didn't think about it at the time, but I am going ...

Re: My new baby
He is much more cheery today, although still has not eaten much as far as I can see. I have the breeder's food, millet, and fresh fruits and veggies so I'm hoping when he gets in the swing of things he starts chomping down. The little booger spend almost an hour trying escape through the floor and c...

My new baby
I have never really been a grey fan, however this little guy came right up to me while all his siblings were in the back, stuck his beak through the breeder's cage and wooed me over. :D He had a big day today and misses his family so awful photo, but I will have many more in the future when he adjus...

Re: Soon to be IRN owner
Got my baby today. He is a beautiful gray. Out of a cage with 8 birdies, he came right up and tried to give me kissies. He is exhausted from the drive and the stress of moving, but I will get photos within the next couple days! Edit: I decided to let my boyfriend name him...when he was hungry. So no...

Re: Soon to be IRN owner
Thank you! I am quite excited! :D I still have not found a breeder with babies, however two contacted me back and said they knew people who did, so I will be awaiting their numbers! It seems as if this is the very end of the breeding season. And don't worry, I'm a very photo-loving bird mommy. I wil...

Soon to be IRN owner
Hello everyone! After many many weeks of decision making between many different parrot species, I have decided to purchase an Indian Ringneck. I have always been fascinated by their general demeanor, intelligence, and their absolutely stunning looks. I have owned cockatiels and parakeets in the past...
