Sure, your parrot is smart, but his attention span is short. If you decide to conduct a marathon training session, it’ll prove counterproductive. The most effective – and quickest – way to train a parrot is with short sessions. Schedule them frequently and make them a regular habit.

I have to get back to the list every time I feed my TAG. It’s hard when you’re sitting in the living room at night watching television not to share some of that snack food with Polly. I know - I’ve been there! For the health of your bird, you really must not give him potato chips or other salty foods.

If your ultimate goal is to breed the birds, you may eventually want to establish outdoor aviaries. Here you can care for the parrots in as natural an environment as possible, providing them with the opportunity to fly as much as they can.
