Re: Is this an okay cage?

We have carried that exact cage at the shop where I work before - they are awesome. It is the perfect size for a ringneck and they are easy to get into for cleaning/etc. One word of warning though - the welds are not very strong, as the bars are very thin, so don't use any heavy branches or you coul...

Re: My Big Family :)

Thanks :) Hedgehogs can smell, yes, but it is usually due to lack of cleaning and poor diet. If you feed them a healthy diet (none of that "hedgehog food" garbage that is on the market...I use cat food; Chicken Soup for the Catlover's Soul Adult Light Formula) and clean often (carefresh be...

This is Luger (Lou) my first ringneck. He has some problems from being mishandled, passed through four homes in the first two/three...

Sometimes they ventur...

Re: pet rat with bird

It is okay to have rats and birds in the same room, but never let them interact. Even though rats are omnivorous rodents, they are also hunters, and naturally eat birds and other small animals.

New baby isn't eating well...

I recently (Tuesday, June 1st) purchased a baby indian ringneck, not sure of the exact age but the breeder said he was newly weaned. I already have another ringenck, a 2 yr old that we believe to be a female. The intoductions between them went amazingly well and they get along great. For the first f...
