Well ok if your vet says its alright and if you can trust his opinion. I've just never practised it because of the pain and stress involved. Re: NEED HELP! 2 MONTH OLD IRN!
You dont really have to pull out the rest of the blood feather, you could also apply flour(quickstop or whatever u use to arrest bleeding) to the broken tip, where the blood is coming out from, that should stop the bleeding. Its just, pulling out his feathers would put him in alot of pain. I wouldn...

Sad story about that broken wing. She would've been in terrible pain. What a bunch of idiots.
Well its real good that she found you and you noticed what was wrong with her and took her to a vet. Yeah I'd say it would probably be like that for the rest of her life too.
Well good luck

Re: NEED HELP! 2 MONTH OLD IRN!
Why do you pull the feathers off, when they break? Because a small amount of blood loss to us can actually be a great deal to them. For example about 20 to 25 drops of blood loss on an IRN can be lethal. You can just snip off the bent feather and leave it. Over the next molt, it should regenerate. ...

I agree about the nightfrights. I've seen my birds making all sorts of noises in its sleep as well, with the eyes closed. Dont worry too much if he is being friendly. If his appetite changes, or he's puffed up the whole day and sitting on his perch, doesnt drink much water, no usual squawking etc. ...

Also they sometimes like the simplest stuff, like toilet paper rolls! It gets shredded to bits. Leather strips to chew on works well too. If you dont find any I'll see if I can put up a couple of pics.

Re: IRN's & UK winters
The most beautiful thing about UK is that you have a large native IRN population. So they've adapted to the climate and they're booming. Of course if its a harsh winter, you might want to take him indoors for awhile. :) But if the bird is to be kept outdoors at all times, then a nestbox with hay in...

The band numbers are different everywhere around the world. For example, in some countries, each breeders club issues a specific band number and color each year. So it depends on where your bird was found, the breeders in that area etc. Maybe it'll help you to call up some breeders around the area ...

Of course its a matter of opinion if you want it clipped or not. But clipping the wings of the bird suits the convenience of the owner and pays no regard to the health of the bird! Especially when you want to clip the wings over and over again. By the way in some European nations its considered ill...

I think that would be a lil bit cold, yes. They're from a more temperate place and I'm told that +5 would be the temperature threshold for IRNs. I wouldnt worry about him being too attached to his previous mate. Its a common misunderstanding that ringnecks mate for life. That is not true of this species of parrot. I've never tried it but what I do know is that with 5 to 8 hours of exposure to the UV light per day, it helps with the metabolism of Vitamin D3 and also makes pet birds more active.
