hi,
yea i agree with you. any ringneck would breed as long it finds its partner fascinating. I allso heard that there is a higher chance that a pair will breed if they are the same colour. so I think 2 albino have the same chance of breeding as 2 blues.

Hi, and no problem.
I am not from India, I am from Australia. Over here the the price for a mature male albino or lutino would be around $100 AUD. or a proven breeding pair around $300

Re: how to get albino
Hi, So you start off with a normal green ringneck, the ino of green is lutino and then a blue ringneck, the ino of that is albino. to produce inos you will need the male to be at least split to ino. for example. a green male split ino with a green hen. you will only get lutino hens 1.0 green /ino x ...

Hi, I used this web site. http://www.gencalc.com/gen/eng_genc.php?sp=0PsitIR you do get blues from this pair but they are all split to either, cinnamon, opaline, or pallid. Most breeders do not like having pairs like this as its to hard to tell what its split to. for example a violet blue could be s...

Will my violet ringneck colour darken?
Hello,
I was wondering if my violet 9 week old ringneck darken in colour? He is not as a nice violet as his mum. there is a small patch of purple on his right wing and his left forehead. will he get his full colour after molting maybe?
thanks, David

Hi,
It sounds like the mother is a cinnamon blue. so the out come of a cinnamone blue with a blue male would be
1.0 blue cinnamonx 0.1 blue
% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 blue /cinnamon
% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 blue cinnamon
so you will end up with one looking like its mother or the dad.

Hi,
Yes it is a blue mutation. It has a bright blue head as it is mature and as it goes through its molts the feathers become brighter on the head and under the chest.

The ones with the black eyes will be either green or grey.
Also there is such this as a black eyed lutino, I think. But they are rare!
