I don't know enough about the egg laying. Luna will be 4 years old soon. And she has never laid any eggs, but I have heard of other females laying eggs. That noise is called beak grinding. It is a behavior trait that your IRN will do when sleepy, happy, or content. It is a good thing. Sometimes if you watch and he is grinding his beak, he will talk to his self quietly then fall asleep. It is so cute. :)
