yes my IRN is not too thrilled with fresh stuff either. she is suposed to like grapes but i always find them on the floor. she does like her apples though not much else.
can't wait to try corn on the cob when it comes in season.

i am by no way an IRN master but i just learned that the parent will produce its color to the chick of the opposite sex.
so if a father is blue and the hen is green the female chicks will be blue and the males will be green.

well today she was on the floor again and i bravely offered her a finger and she did step up! woo hoo! no bites

i agree. i have had mine for a week and all she would do was fly away as soon as i came near her. i clipped her wings so we can work together, now she has to pay attention and not just take off. she can always earn her wings back after she has learned something.

thanks for the tips. yes i did clip her wings yesterday and she is slowly realizing she can no longer fly away at the drop of a hat. she ends up on the floor looking for a way back to her cage. i offer her a stick and after a few trries she will stay on long enough to get back to her cage. hopefully...
