As you would expect my breeding results are on my web site ,under Saddlebacks, Theres also a series of Underwing Marker photos to compare to saddlebacks which are born with underwing markers ,You will be able to check with your young as Turquoise dont develop these markers until there 1 yr old molt....

Ive never claimed them to be a new mutation ,in saying that i dont beleive they are a combination of colours either? Yes the bird with the normal violet patch on its wing was 1 of 4 born in that season 1 or 2 clutches ,im not sure ? To the averadge breeder picking cobalt violet from violet from cobalt isnt always as easy as you think. What i was suggesting was simply use cobalt to the cobalt emerold harlequin and you could avoid any confusion ,as its easyier to pick cobalt from mauve from blue
