Re: Cage in front of a window?
Doisy's cage is in front of a window and I think he loves it. I do have curtains over the window but he loves to reach through the bars and pull the edge back so he can see out. Also, when he's out of his cage he loves to get in the curtains and look out. I did have blinds over the window but he tho...

Re: Doisy's Talking!
I'm not too worried about him picking up what I say. What I'm worried about is him picking up what my husband says!

Reflection attacking
Doisy has stainless steel seed dishes in his cage which allow him to see his reflection. This has started to become a problem as he attacks his seed dishes with a very loud, piercing scream. Is there a way to break him of this behavior? He will also attack his own shadow with screaming. I don't rein...

No, the fruits aren't human ones with the preservatives. They are dried for birds with no sugars or preservatives added. He's always had the yellowish tinge to his feathers since I've owned him, about 3 months, so I assumed that that was just his natural feather coloring. Thanks for the advice thoug...

Ring question with pics
Doisy is almost 6 months old and is a boy (DNA Testing) He seems to be going through what I call a mini molt, getting in new feathers around the head and neck. What I have been noticing is that he seems to be getting a few gray feathers towards his beak, like the start of a ring. I thought it might ...

Doisy's Adventure in Dustland
Doisy decided to fly to the bookcase next to his cage and investigate the model horses and the dust  It is no longer dusty but made for some good pictures. He flew back to his cage after he knocked off a picture and scared himself. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn191/impala_400/DSC_1770.j...

Hello from Ohio
Hi, My name is Yvonne and I currently own 5 birds, 4 parakeets and 1 indian ringneck parakeet. They are named after music composers since my husband and I are both in the music field. Therefore, we have Mozart, Beethoven, Dmitri (Shostakovich), Igor (Stravinsky), and a male IRN, Doisy (pronounced Dw...
