Hi all just thought id share the news that my hand raised baby green lacewing I getting in a few weeks DNA results are in and it's a ....,, GIRL! Her mother is a green an her father is a blue. The other three chicks in the best were all greens.

If the Mother is a Normal Green and the Father a Normal Blue to look at and your Chick is in fact a Lacewing then the only way this could happen was if the Father was split to Lacewing. Your chick will be a Hen and it will also be split to Blue Just got the DNA results back and my baby is a ...... ...

Thanks for the reply again deb :) I'm not up on the whole genetics thing although I'm trying to make my way through the tutorial posted on here about it. The mothers green and the fathers blue and some how I ended up with a lime green lacewing. We are unsure about the grandparents though. Any though...
