Re: Teaching your bird to talk ???

True every bird is unique. My suggestion is to put his cage where he is around people all the time. He says so many things at 15 months that he just cracks us up. I started a list but I only write it down if he says it more than once. Tonight I swear he said "What do you want to do". Everything he s...

Zazu is coming out of his shell

We are so proud of him. This week he actually said hi to two visitors. Usually he just sits quiet when people come over. The other day he said Hi to my husbands surfing buddy. I thought it may have been because he is so tall and was right up there with him eye to eye. But today when my mom stopped ...

Well, if this pic is anything to go by then I would say way young.....
My Avitar pic is Zazu @ 2 months.
So unless your baby has plucked himself, as Pink said, he has to be between 1 month and two months. Give us a bigger pic.
What is he eating?

The breeder where I got mine has a very tame birds and they have a Lutino Ringneck among others, obviously but they have this tiel who when it was a baby got his beak bitten by another one of her bigger parrots and today this ringneck is very protective...

Zazu is a total goofball. Sometimes when I come by his cage he leaning way out on the edge of the top like, pick me up please. So I put my finger out in front of him and he climbs over to it and climbs on. Then he is like glue and I try to put him on the cage and he just hangs on. So over to the toy...

You know I noticed our baby will be 3 months on the 14th and he uses his feet if we give him a snack large enough to hold and it is not in his bowl. So on top of his cage he will take a treat and then grab it so he doesn't loose it. It is cute.

I was wondering about cold, too. Although in San Diego I don't have too much of a problem with it. But if your home is comfortable for you I am sure your birdie will be okay. Just keep him ouf of drafts. Hey maybe get him one of those snuggly tents to sleep in. That might be nice for him to keep cozy.

Understanding how your Parrot thinks

While preparing for my parrot I ran across this article and found it could be a valuable tool. It is long but quite informative and has answered some questions for me.
If any of you wonder why your bird loves you and hates hubby or vice/verse read it if you have the time.
