My baby Ringnecks - Progression shots

Hi all, here are a few pics of what i've been busy doing for the last 6 weeks or so!

Oh, and a couple of other pics snuck in there somehow  Our new puppy Indy, purebred chocolate labrador, a new friend for our 10yo black labrador, Sammy.

Julie I took the egg out once I confirmed it was infertile after a few days. I didn't want it to smash or go bad.
Not a bad effort to get 4 hatched, well done!

LOL @ Grampa! I suppose I am!

Just checked them earlier, all 3 doing great, crops nice and full, all warm. Will keep checking them every now and then just in case the smallest one doesn't get left behind. I'm all set up in case I have to intervene. I have learned lots from last year!

Well after a dud clutch of 4 eggs first up I had almost given up hope of any young ones this year. I checked the nest tonight, where mum was having another shot at it, and sitting on another 4, it turns out 3 of them were fertile! :o 1 has fully hatched, and the other 2 were knocking on the door, th...

Sarah, the exact same thing happened to me last year. The first lot of eggs were all infertile and I was very disappointed! I am pretty sure the reason was that the male was inexperienced (even though he is fully mature) and the hen typically scared the crap out of him. I took the nest box down so t...

Hi Julie,

She's definitely an Albino.

Not sure if it's normal for them to have some blue through the tail, although I might have to have a closer look at her in case the light / camera flash is causing it to look like there's blue. I hadn't noticed it until you asked!! :o

My pair have finally had their first successful family!
2 chicks, maybe 3, hatched around Thursday or Friday.
Will know for sure how many soon, just want to give mum some space as it's her first successful breed, and she's a nervous mum.
Expecting visual blue & albino babies.
Happy days! :o

Unsuccessful, but positive signs....

I checked the 3 eggs my pair had today and they were all infertile. I didn't see them mate because every...
