Alexandrine breeding time

I have had a female Alex for several months now and just bought a male last week, he is still in quarantine. She is 6 and he is 4. I am just wondering if they are like the IRNs and winter(here) breeders. I know my IRNs are going to town now.

Thanks

Ringneck baby color

I have a grey-green split blue male and a turquoise female. They have given me grey-greens and a grey baby in the past. This current baby is grey but now at about 5 weeks is getting a green cast to it, just light and in a few areas, definitely not the normal grey-green, but I am wondering if that me...

Color mutation question.

Okay albinos are from blues and lutinos. What is the lutino/turquoise combination called? Is that the creaminos? I know my male babies will either be blue or turquoise split to lutino so am thinking about keeping one back for future pairings. I just got the book about ringneck genetics and such so a...

Baby color?

How early can you tell a turquoise vs. a blue baby. We have a clutch of 4 babies, 3 are pinning out and feathers look blue but in the pics they look green so thinking maybe a turquoise. Dad is a blue and mom is a lutino, obviously split. Unfortunately the records we got with our pairs, colors werent...

Thank you. That is what I thought he was, just needing to be sure. Actually the female is blue, for some reason the camera makes her look turquoise. Thank you for your help, it is greatly appreciated. Also are visual greys the grey-green with the visual blue to basically remove the green coloring?

What color is he?

I got in several new pairs of Indian ringnecks. The person I got them from wasnt sure on the colors. I figured out all the blues, turquiose, lutinos, albinos, blues, greys, cinnamons, etc but still have one that is confusing me. I wanted a clarification on him. She was told he is a cinnamon but I ha...

Ring age?

I have a DNA sexed lutino male with all the typical male behaviors but his ring has not even begun to appear. He will 2 years old in January. Everything I read is that it appears by 18months, well he has passed that a few months ago with nothing. How late do the rings appear. He is a gorgeous boy in...

What color is she?

I have this female IRN, we always thought she was a blue but from some of the pics I have seen online she isnt as bright of a blue. She appears more of a "country blue", a dusty blue. We are just wondering for sure what her color is, any help is appreciated Thanks Kari www.summersbirdsandchins.com/f...
