do you think handraised birds need seperate time out of the cage or is it completly fine to have them all out at once? i have a ringneck, a conure and an eclectus and they all get along fine so there all out at once but they do get individual "chats" and petting, ect... but do they need sp...

as i was feeding my ringneck, Gluttony, he shuved his beak through the wires on his cage and got his beak stuck! he did this when he was a baby aswell :? guess he doesnt learn so im buying a new cage today, with wider spacing because im scared he will do it again when im not home and break his neck ...

For the last two weeks my birds were sneezing a couple of times a day and i just thought they had dust up there nose but yesterday Roxy (eclectus) kept sneezing, yawned a lot and has a little bit of mucus come out of her nose. my dads want to breed all year, at the moment the male is making the noise he makes before they breed but they dont have a box because its nearly winter
last year dad left there box in and they had babies in winter and only one survived long enough to be hand raised

the stiches are out now so she is aloud back outside
she is a crazy dog but very relaxed and calm when she is inside
i have her in the same room when my birds where out, i had her on a lead so i could control her if i needed to, and she was terrified of my birds lol, she lay on the floor crying

most birds i have had have dont this not just IRN's

all birds will sleep on their perches, but some birds, mainly smaller ones like conures, will sleep in nest boxers or happy huts if they are provided

dogs with birds?
I was wondering if there is any way to see if your dog would get along with your birds. I have a labrador who has just been desexed so she isnt aloud outside for 2 weeks, and mum thought maybe i could have my birds out while she is in the room? has anyone done this? how would you see if this worked?...

Gluttony used to try and chew cords.
and one day i was sick and annoyyed and he chewed them and i yelled at him and he hasnt done it since lol
he will still try to eat buttons on phones, remotes ect but they are easy to hide from him

Black sunflower seeds are not good for birds. Look for a mix with grey ones instead. If you bird eats lots of black ones they can make the bird over heated and they can die.

Gluttony plays in his but doesnt sleep in it. His is probaly too big for him because i got it for a different ringneck who was a lot bigger than what he is.

they should breed, never heard that 2 albinos wouldnt breed together.

i didnt have a clue how they got it, because i had no new birds and no new toys or perches.
i think maybe they come in from outside.
i got some spray stuff and that killed the lice quickly

Aparently its what most people feed where you live, and the babies usually turn out fine.
