Re: nail trimming/ cement perches
I started trimming Indiana's nails (IRN) when he was very young and I also had to teach him a couple more things so I could do nails. Personally I would be scared to death if clippers were used. I use those cheap emery boards that you can get at a dollar store, so this isn't a big investment. And yo...

Have you tried to get him a stuffed animal that he could love? Mine loves his stuffed green frog and will climb all over it and he gives it his very special attentions. See if that works and i hope it does. But as others have said, he would also make a good breeder too. There is a perfect place for ...

I was going to ask that very question because my IRN Indiana has started to chew holes in my clothes. He is just over a year old and I know he loves to feel the different textures. That makes perfect sense. But he has gone that next step to be more destructive and this isn't a good behavior trait. I...

A question about molting
This question has probably been asked many times over, but I can't find the thread.
Anyway, Indiana is starting to molt the downy fuzzy feathers. He is 3 1/2 months old. Is that normal for a IRN to molt at this young age?
Thanks in advance!

I am new here and I have only been an IRN mommy for a week. I know how attached I am to Indy in only a week. I can not imagine how you feel about Cookie and him lost for a long time. Have you talked to the people behind you that raise a lot of birds? Maybe Cookie flew there and he is safe and sound ...

New to the group and new to the IRN world.
Hello, I am new to this group and I am also a new IRN mommy. I have been reading a lot of the material here before I actually signed up for this forum. My name is Pauline and my husband is Shaughn (sounds like Shawn). We live in Western Washington State on the coast in Grays Harbor County. We do hav...
