After i cut my parrots nails he is standing on one foot, he can move around on both feet but most the time he is on just one, i made sure i only cut off alittle bit, what shall i do? take him to the vets? or will it get better?

whenever i touch him, and he cannot escape he will make a "grrrr" sound, is it because he doesnt want me to touch him, what shall i do?! i feel really bad, but then i read if you dont hold him he will become wild like. What should i do thanks for any help
