Two new additions to our zoo

About two weeks ago we adopted a 4 and a hhalf week old crow, Ciaran. As if that wasn't enough for me to handle, yesterday we adopted a 7 day old starling, Einstein. Here are some pics. http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh319/celtic_aura/Ciaran%20and%20Einstein/06_27_25.jpg http://i259.photobucket....

Gigi bird's in love!!!!!!!!

Well it seems my little fella has found the love of his life. He will sit and watch his new amour for hours and hours talking and chittering. I don't want to burst his bubble but I'm pretty sure his new love, Ciaran, our baby crow doesn't return the affection. Everytime Ciaran is outwandering around...

Thanks lauren :) We've actually adopted a 4 1/2 week old baby crow. Where we are now, we can only have so many animals, so we adopt when one of our current Fids passes on. We're not replacing our old friend, but we figured Russell would appreciate the fact that Ciaran now has a wonderful home.

RIP Russel Crow

We lost one of our crows, Russell, to old age this past Wednesday. Even though he was a wild bird that wouldn't let us handle him, we still loved him and will miss him.

His head is full of pin feathers. Would I just put the aloe juice in a spray bottle and squirt him? He hates when I do that, but I do it a couple of times a day with warm water. And cranky doesn't begin to describe it! Anytime I try to open his door he lunges swings off of it and tries to eat my hand.

Molting and Napping

Well, Gigi bird is really molting now. When I uncovered him this morning there were feathers all over the bottom of his cage. About 15 minutes after I uncovered him, he took a nap. This is very unusual for him. He woke up when I changed and fed him, but he's napping again. That's two naps in the two...
