Place him near a window, not so he gets too hot or anything but enough so he can watch coming and goings outside.
I second the radio idea I think that will really help a lot, I couldnt' imagine my bird being left alone with silence all day.

Spray bottle vs tub bath!!

By tub I mean bird sized tub.. haha.. Ok now yes I could put the vacuum on daily but I don't, I usually just use the hand held vac. around the birds cages and that doesnt' have the same affect. If I were to get my bird (who I have named now!!! 'Pippin') used to the spray could I use it daily on him?...

I have always given my birds natural springwater.

We 'can' drink our tap water it is city but we choose not to as sometimes it smells really bleachy.

I ordered kaytee Exact I didnt' make a colour preference though I hope it is the normal uncoloured one.
Don't worry about them not stocking it I am a good customer they have ordered in a lot for me in the past if my bird likes the food it wont be a problem to get more.

Tooo adorable,, he is picking up some really cute words!!! How old is he? He sounds like he's on a roll... I'm struggling with this too! I just tried the vacuum while he was out free flying I did have a bath ready for him from earlier today, while vacuuming I looked over at him he was all fluffed up definately in bath mode... so I moved the bath over to a different spot so it drew attention to it for him...

My other bird is a Kakariki and he has stick legs, I cannot get over how hefty my Ringnecks legs are he reminds me of a bird of prey even the way he walks/struts about...
I just find his legs amazing... :)

Halving it is usually easy enough just snap it in two with your hands but other than that I could see it being pretty tricky!!
Perhaps try for smaller thinner corn and then after snapping it it would be a small enough serving??

hug them, sqeeze them and kiss them!!! The way my new boy looks at me and his soft soft little body looks soo huggy and soft... Of course he wont let us touch him... good job really!! lol...
