Hi, is it the upper or lower part of the beak? How old is the bird? hi there, are you certain you have a male and female? the crouching and spreading of wings, with head tipped back it typical female behaviour? Sorry cant answer the question of when your breeding season starts as I am from south Africa!

How old is it? Is it fully feathered? Have you noticed the parents feeding it at all? If the parents are not feeding it, and it is unable to get back to the nest you will need to take action.

I'd have a hard time letting go of either of them :D SCB22...it looks like stress barring or maybe damage to the feather structure. Has she had her year old molt yet? Hey little buttercup, you would get green and greygreen babies. My male is green and female a grey.
Think someone did say there was possibility of blue if the cock bird was split blue? not 100% on that one.

Shaun just remember the new eggs may not show as fertile yet, you need to wait the minimum of ten days before the latest would even show signs of being fertile, before you go ahead and dispose of them!

Why dont you just pop her and her cage outside or into another room while you vacuum? Or if the cage is too big, just let her have some time out the cage, but in another secure room while you vaccum, then once you return her to her cage, if you are still worried about the smell, open the windows etc...

What i meant was it was stuck, it had dried in that position, obviously with our weather, there wasnt enough humidity, once i had misted the box and the egg, he managed to start unsticking itself from itself basically, its a bit weak but seems to be doing ok so far.

Ringo, i mean no offense, but if you are not even sure what you are checking for when you check in the nest (to see if baby is being fed) will you be ok to hand feed, not knowing if you feeding baby too much or too little? Have you been shown the correct way to feed etc, wouldnt want for you to lose...

The bird is 12months this month... And the lack of tail, is thanks to my other bird Peanut who decided he didnt like the poor things tail... Also bear in mind, some pics are taken with flash, some not so it affects the colouring in general, makes some things darker and lighter than they are really :...
