I don't really know which is the best colour, but I can tell you lutinos are lovely. I nearly bought a lutino about 2 years ago because I find them soo beautiful.

Maybe some more out of cage time, if thats possible for you. Or a bigger cage. So that he can stretch his wings.

Above you will see Donovan said its a fine size but make sure he is out of that cage as much as possible. So it shows that size is not good for the bird to stay in most of the time.

Birds are very switched on to body language. You can't blame a bird for biting you if you don't see the signs - "he's had enough scratches" for example. If you have a separate cage to keep the cockatiels in that would be fine. And have separate out of cage times for them.Get the largest cage that can fit in your house. The larger the better.

Apple Cider in the drinking water of chickens and livestock is very good and they benefit alot from it. But for parrots! I really don't know. Maybe you should do a google search. Btw I just finish sip my cup of Apple cider drink. I love it with honey in. Most mornings I must have a cup.

Yes, try again. When I put a bunch of grass on the top of the cage, Kiwi will be very busy until each and every strand has been pulled down, chewed and then dropped to the cage floor. Coco likes his bunch pegged on to the side of the cage next to a perch.

True, especially with Kiwi, who is not worried about how the ball is looking as long as he can chew it and get something out of it. I've got acacia, plane, mulberry and peach trees. Also some others that I have to check what its called and if its safe. Anyway, thanks for all the info.

Yes tiels are very timid compared to IRNs. Also I had my tiel before the IRN and I think he knew that the bird room belongs to Coco and he is the invader. But in your case your IRN would be the boss and the cockatiel would be invading his space.

Does Lola have playtree, maybe she has nowhere else to sit on so goes in circles on the cage? And maybe you could tie food to her toys so she can start liking the toys. Otherwise Missk gave some good ideas. Wish I could hire you missk to come do some interior decorating for my birds :wink:

Yes Missk, Kiwi does'nt seem to mind, as it didn't set us back at any time. Right after it he would be his normal self and would still take his treats from me as usual. I would'nt do it if he seems unhappy. But I don't know what would happen should I touch him while he is in the towel.

My birds have a bird room to themselves, but they do spend time in the cage as well. Most of the time they are out in their room and in the warm weather half the day they spend time outdoors in cages. If I have to go on a long holiday then they will have to be boarded.

Welcome to the forum, IRNs can be noisy, some are quiet, I find my cockatiel noisier than the ringneck! But I suppose if you keep them busy with foraging opportunities they won't have much time to make noise.

Hahahahaaa, Rocky! I wonder if it will work on my human..... hmmmm..... At times I thought that my human forget about me and I start sleeping on the playtree only to awoken rudely and made to go in the cage and covered up with a blanket! Remy, it really is unfair this, do our wild counterparts sleep...
